Wood BOE meets Tuesday

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday (Sept. 22) to discuss virtual school and the district’s re-entry plan. 

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Wood County Schools Central Office on the corner of 13th and Plum streets in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public, though masks are required and social distancing will be maintained.

The meeting also will be broadcast online through Zoom.

The board will have a discussion on fiscal year 2020 financial statements and receive a facilities update.

Superintendent Will Hosaflook will talk about the second week of school during his superintendent’s report.

Among the discussion items on Tuesday’s agenda are middle school cheer and virtual school compensation. 

The board also will discuss the district’s re-entry plan and possible revisions.

In addition to financial and personnel items on the consent agenda, the board will be asked to approve use of schools as poling places in the Nov. 3 General Election.
