Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday, Nov. 10, to receive an update from the superintendent and hire a new director for the Management Information Systems department.
The board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Jefferson Elementary Center auditorium at 1103 Plum Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public, though social distancing will be maintained and masks are required. The meeting also will be broadcast online through Zoom.
Those wishing to address the school board during public comment must do so in person.
Wood County Schools Superintendent Will Hosaflook will report to the board concerning the district’s new COVID-19 Dashboard page, current COVID-19 in area schools, an update on substitutes and work on the 2021-22 Wood County Schools calendar.
The board also will be asked to approve a new director of MIS, which oversees technology for the school system. The former MIS director retired in October.
