Every year at this time we must fulfill a requirement of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of 1986. It is our responsibility to notify in writing, parents/legal guardian, school staff and employee organizations of the availability of the Asbestos Management Plan for each facility. Why is Career Technical Education (CTE) so important? Research has revealed that students enrolled in CTE look forward to coming to school, have higher attendance rates, do better in their academic courses, and have increased levels of competence and confidence leading to improved mental health. Each week, we will be highlighting students from our various programs so they can share just how important their CTE program is to them

The PHS Athletic Trainer visited our Sports Medicine program recently to teach our students how to remove helmet clips.
We are so excited to introduce our newest CTE program, Sports Medicine at the Caperton Center. The students and instructor have been busy renovating their classroom and lab space as new equipment and supplies arrive.
With the help of our Agriculture students, Pro-Start students made and sold some delicious sausage breakfast sandwiches to our teachers and LPN students! 🥯🍳🥪☕️
Our Fire and Emergency Management Senior class recently practiced how to properly perform injections as they continue to learn skills for their EMT exams.
