Wood County Schools re-entry guidelines states students who wear a face covering greatly reduce their risk of quarantine; therefore, minimizing missed school days. In the classroom setting, the close contact definition excludes students who were within three to six feet of an infected student where both students are wearing a mask. These guidelines can change and we must be able to pivot and adapt accordingly. My goal is to keep students at Blennerhassett Elementary. I'm encouraging all individuals to wear a mask inside the building. This will greatly reduce the frequency of quarantines and allow our students and staff to continue working together. Currently students are sent home for displaying one symptom of COVID. Students that are sent home are required to quarantine for 10 days or have a negative COVID test. Thank you for your support.
