Tomorrow is Inflatable Day for PK-5 Grade Students. This event is sponsored by our PTA. Our hope is to have everything outside, however, the final call will be made in the morning. We have a plan B if the weather looks questionable. Part of the inflatables will be outside and part in the gym. You are welcome to send a change of clothes, just in case. Hopefully, the sun will shine until after 3:00 :)

This is just an FYI for families. Tomorrow around 10:00 AM, there will be a SWAT truck parked in front of the school. We have been doing a food drive for Children's Home Society and Captain Rick George (Wood County Sheriff's Department) will be picking up the items and delivering them to CHS. If you haven't sent in items and want to help out, please send them with your child in the morning.

Field Trips and Background Checks
For more information, check the news section on our school web page or the Wood County Schools site.
Policy 1210
When a parent/legal guardian or any other visitor to school grounds during the school day will or may work with students, in any capacity, without being observed by a Wood County Schools employee, or move through the school without being accompanied by a Wood County Schools employee, or attend and/or chaperone a school-sponsored field trip of any kind, that person must have previously completed a criminal background check. This background check will be the same as the background check required for all Wood County Schools employees. If a parent is going to attend a field trip with the students, even if they are not chaperoning, they must have a completed background check.
In an effort to follow the policy, Williamstown Elementary will have the following procedures in place: Teachers will collect chaperones/guests information when preparing for trips. The office will then verify background checks and provide teachers with a list of approved chaperones/guests. Should a parent show up for the trip and not be on the approved list, the parent will be asked to sign their child out for the day. The parent and child can then enjoy the field trip as a family outing, separate from the class.

Just an FYI regarding track.
Track is for students in third-fifth grade :)
Crazy Hat Day/ Pajama Day March 20th for PreK and March 21st for K-5!!
