Good evening Lubeck families, this is Mr. Collins with a few reminders. First, there is no school for students on Monday April 1st. Teachers will be participating in Professional Learning on that day. Students will return to school on Tuesday April 2nd. That leads me to my second reminder. Please be aware that Tuesday April 2nd is Spring Picture Day. So remind students to bring their biggest and best smiles back to school on Tuesday. Thank you and have a great evening!
Calendar update: In order to account for missed school days due to inclement weather, students will now attend school on May 31 as well as June 3 and 4. Preschool will attend May 28 and 29. For staff, June 5 will be a curriculum development day (students do not attend) and June 6 will be a day to prepare for the end of the school year (students do not attend).

You should have received a half sheet request form referring to your interest in a 5-day Spring Break meal box offer from Wood County Schools Child Nutrition Department. We have received many of these back already. This is the final notice before we submit requests to the board office. If you would like a meal kit, please return the form by tomorrow morning February 27th, 2024. Thank you and have a great start to your week!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, to conduct candidate interviews and appoint an interim board member to a vacant seat. The board has consulted with the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wood County Clerk’s Office and has been advised, due to election cycle deadlines, a selection must be made by February 12, 2024.
The online application period for those interested in applying for the interim position will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 12. The board meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. to announce the candidates and interviews will begin at 6:00 p.m. An appointment announcement will follow the completion of the interviews on February 12.
Those submitting an application by Sunday, February 11, will be informed of their interview time before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12. Applicants submitting applications on Monday, February 12, will be contacted as applications are received throughout the day to have interviews arranged for that evening.
Wood County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 22, 2024.
