PHS Pride Tour!

Mrs. Davis's 4th graders have been looking forward to the PHS Pride Tour all week! They made signs, clapped along with the band, cheered, and shared lots of positivity, smiles, and encouragement with our Big Reds before their big game against South tonight!

It was so much fun watching our little Big Reds show their school spirit and support our team!

🎉🎉 Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Wilson!!! 🎉🎉 Mrs. Wilson is an extraordinary educator who goes above and beyond to support not only her students’ academic growth, but also their emotional well-being and mental health. She creates a classroom environment built on community, acceptance, and belonging, where every student knows they are loved, valued, and supported. Through her thoughtful approach to teaching, Mrs. Wilson helps students understand how their brains work and equips them with strategies to regulate their emotions, calm their minds, and be ready to learn. Her steady, caring presence has a positive impact on everyone around her and helps make our school a place where students feel safe, respected, and empowered. Mrs. Wilson’s compassion, dedication, and commitment to her students make her truly deserving of this recognition. Thank you, Mrs. Wilson, for the difference you make every day and for helping make Madison Elementary such a special place to be! 💙🤍👏 Mrs. Wilson, YOU ROCK!!! 🎉

Did you know that Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia provides school-based telehealth care at our school if your child needs medical care during the school day?  Your school nurse can coordinate an appointment and your child will be evaluated by a medical provider.  If you child is too sick to stay at school, the school nurse will follow standard procedures and send them home.  We are so happy to offer this service for busy parents through our partnership with IHCWV.   For more information, contact your school nurse.

Schoology Basics: Finding Assignments & Announcements

Schoology is a great way to stay connected to your child's learning. Take a few minutes each week to check assignments, announcements, and upcoming due dates with your child.

All week both 4th grade classes learned about what happened on September 11, 2001 during Social Studies with me. They learned about the twin towers, the Pentagon, and flight 93. They watched videos, read articles, and had great discussions. We finished out the week completing comprehension questions and coloring pictures in honor of Patriot's Day. 🇺🇸

📚✨ YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS! ✨📚

Every school day is a day filled with opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and succeed! 💙🐎

At Madison Elementary, we know that every day counts and every student matters. When students are at school, they are not only learning important academic skills—they are building friendships, developing confidence, participating in hands-on activities, and becoming the best version of themselves. 🌟

Missing just a few days here and there can add up quickly and make it harder for students to keep up. That’s why we want to encourage our Madison Mustangs to SHOW UP, BE PRESENT, and BE READY TO LEARN! 🐎📖

💙 Good attendance = More learning
💙 More learning = More growth
💙 More growth = More success!

Let's work together to make attendance a priority and help our students make the most of every school day!

🤘🌟 SHE ROCKS! 🌟🤘

Madison Elementary is excited to celebrate one of our newest Mustangs, Emily Carney, who has already made a BIG impact on our school family! 💙🐴

Emily was recently selected to receive Madison’s YOU ROCK designation! 🎸⭐

So, what exactly is YOU ROCK? 🤔

At Madison, YOU ROCK is a special way we recognize staff members who go above and beyond, make a positive difference, support their coworkers, and help make Madison Elementary a better place for our students and staff. It’s our way of saying, “We see you. We appreciate you. YOU ROCK!” 🙌💙

And Emily is certainly rocking it! 🎸 From jumping right in as a new member of our team to bringing positivity, dedication, and a willingness to help wherever needed, she has quickly become a valued part of the Madison family.

👏 Congratulations, Ms. Carney! We are so glad you’re a Mustang! 🐴💙

Keep rocking, Ms. Carney! 🎸⭐

🔐 Mrs. Tucker's Tech Tip Tuesday

Creating Strong Passwords for Families

A strong password is one of the easiest ways to protect your family's information online. Encourage your child to use passwords that are long, unique, and difficult to guess. Avoid using birthdays, pet names, or common words.
✅ Use a mix of words, numbers, and symbols
✅ Use different passwords for different accounts
✅ Keep passwords private
A strong password is like a lock on your front door. Make sure yours is secure!
