Criss Elementary’s Social Studies Fair was held on Thursday, January 18th. The following names are the winners that will be moving on to the County Fair with a description of their project. Congratulations to all of the winners and great job to all those who participated! 

Lexi Coleman-4th grade 

Lexi did her fair project on the impact the Covid-19 Pandemic has had on mental health. Her project was in the psychology category. Lexi gave a great presentation of how the mental health of multiple age groups has been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. 

Kavya Babariya- 3rd grade 

Kayva's project was on the Taj Mahal and the history behind this beautiful wonder of the world. This project was in the World History category. She gave a flawless presentation about the history of the building! 

Teagan Hescht- 5th grade 

Teagan's project was on the women of the Revolutionary War and how important they were to the cause! She dressed in clothing resembling the time on fair day and included objects for her judges to see that would have been important to the women during this time. Teagan's category was US History. 

Jim and Joe Holthaus- 5th grade 

Jim and Joe did a group project on the No Touch Zone- our border with Canada. They explained how there is an area between the border that is constantly deforested and taken care of that falls between the US and Canada. Jim gave many fun facts about this area and how it impacts the daily life of some students who have to cross international borders just to be able to attend school! Their category was geography.
