This is a reminder that the Eagles Choir (4th/5th grade), the Music Makers (4th/5th grade after school group), and Mallet Mania (3rd grade after school group) will be performing for our spring concert next Tuesday, April 12 at 6:00 PM. Students participating should be at the school by 5:45. Eagles Choir members need to wear their choir shirts. The after school groups can wear whatever they wore to school that day – nothing special is required. This is our final concert of the year. If you have questions, call Mrs. Laird at the school at 304-420-9528, e-mail her at slaird@k12.wv.us, or call her on her cell phone at 304-482-4948. If you child is in one of these groups and cannot be at the concert, please let Mrs. Laird know as soon as possible. This is especially important for Music Makers, because it is a very small group this year and we don’t have double coverage on instrument parts.

NEW LOCATION! The Wood County Schools' Social Studies Fair on Saturday, February 19th, will now take place at Williamstown High School. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Judging is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Public viewing begins at 5:00 p.m. Awards will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Based upon our internet access survey this past September, Wood County Schools has secured Wi-Fi hotspots for those who have a need and have no or unreliable internet. If you have a child who attends any Wood County Schools’ elementary school, you may pick up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the student parking lot at Parkersburg South High School. A map can be found on the Wood County Schools’ website. Pickup is available on Monday, February 21st, from eight to four. It is not necessary to call ahead.
