Mrs. Jeni Hopkins, Assistant Principal

Hello Jaguar Families.

My name is Mrs. Jeni Hopkins. I have been working in Wood County Schools for over 20 years with a total of 30 years in education. I have had many roles in the education field. I started as an aide, did summer custodial work, was a bus aide, and secretary. After moving to Florida and attending the University of Central Florida, I became a Special Education teacher. I have taught Multi-Categorical and Behavioral Disorders.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have been a life long resident of Wood County except for 10 years I lived in Florida. I attending Roosevelt Elementary, Franklin Junior High School, and graduated from Parkersburg South High School.

I have been at Jefferson Elementary Center for 8 years. I love being a Jaguar. My main duties are PBIS, Safety, SAT, and Special Education. I have also been working more with our C & I Assistant Principal with Title I and Curriculum. I have a open door policy and I am here to help you in any way I can. A little about myself:

I am married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. I have a son, Duane, his 2 children, my grandchildren, Payton and Noah. I also have a daughter, Caitlin who currently attends Parkersburg South High School. My family is my life. I love spending time with my kids and grandkids. We love the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. I love spending time out at our farm doing the things we love to do.
