Hello Grizzlies! Next week begins our important GSA testing in grades 3-5. Best wishes to our students and their teachers as they’ve all worked hard this year! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12 in case you wanted to thank a teacher.

Greenmont PTA message: Tomorrow is the due date to RSVP for the Great Grizzly Celebration taking place on Monday, May 15 as we celebrate our school's earning National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence status as well as being rated the #1 school in West Virginia! Please RSVP!

Greenmont Grizzlies! In the back left corner of our gym during tonight’s carnival, PTA will be selling used lunch tables for $10 each. Tables are 20x30x28h. Ah the memories of being six feet apart during COVID lunches…Buy one or a ton!

Good Morning Greenmont, Only a few more hours until our PTA school carnival begins! We are still in need of cakes and two liter bottles of soda. Carnival hours are 5:00-7:00. Prepaid wristbands enter KH end doors and those purchasing tickets/wristbands enter the main doors.

Good Morning Greenmont, Thank you for your generosity in donating items. We are still in need of cakes for the cake walk and two liter bottles of soda. The cake walk will be in the gym this year due to more space being available.

Greenmont PTA Carnival is this Friday from 5:00-7:00! Prek, KG, 1st and 2nd grades are asked to donate cakes or cookie cakes. 3rd, 4th and 5th grades are asked to donate 2 liter bottles of soda. Thank you all for supporting our school’s PTA!

Good Evening Greenmont, As the weather warms, please be aware of how your children are dressed for school as what may have been worn this fall may no longer fit the same. Shorts must be an appropriate length as to keep rear ends covered, while shirts must not show the midsection/belly. Please ensure what’s written on clothing is also appropriate for school. If you have any questions, please call our school. We also need your help at the end of the day during dismissal. At dismissal, please monitor your children and keep them near you. We have had some issues with parents not paying attention which can cause safety problems. Thank you for your help.

Greenmont Fifth Grade Parents, Greenmont's Fifth Grade student will attend the Jackson Middle School Bump Up Day on Friday, May 12, 2023. Students will leave Greenmont via school bus at 8:45 am and will arrive back from Jackson Middle at approximately 10:30 am.

Good Evening Greenmont! We wanted to congratulate our track teams tonight as our Boys 12U won first place and our Girls 12U won 2nd place! Thank you teams! Paving begins tomorrow in Vienna on Grand Central which may/could/will impact getting to and from school.

Dear 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Grizzlies, A field trip has been planned to The Wilds for Wednesday, May 17. A permission slip and a parent letter are going out to homes today or tomorrow to all 3-5 students. The cost for students is $15 payable to Greenmont Elementary School NLT Friday, April 28, 2023. Parent chaperones will be limited to three per classroom. If you wish to be considered to be a chaperone, please contact your child's teacher ASAP. If we have more than three willing parents per classroom, we will have to choose via a lottery. Please contact Mr. Ubbens (bubbens@k12.wv.us) or your child's teacher with any questions about the field trip.

Happy Friday Greenmont! As our kids are hopefully having a blast on this PD Day, our staff has been meeting and planning for next week and beyond. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, April 10, 2023. Best wishes always!

Attention Hungry Grizzlies! On Thursday, April 6, 2023 the Cook's Choice meal will feature (drum roll please)...... pull-apart cheese bread, Sweet potato fries, fresh salad, mixed fruit and a choice of lowfat milk. Bon Appetit Grizzlies!
