Grizzlies, There was an error in yesterday’s message- The final class parties of the year are on Thursday, March 16 and not Friday, March 17. By having all parties on a Thursday our preK parents that have multiple children only have to take off once that week.

Grizzlies! Our Student Council Coin Wars were a tremendous success. All monies raised from the $4,000+ will go towards the purchase and installation of a new sound system for our gymnasium. We want to thank our Student Council members as well as all of our families for supporting this event. A special thank you to our Student Council sponsors, Mrs. Shuman and Mrs. Humphrey, as they dedicated many hours to planning and carrying out this project. Have a wonderful weekend! See you all on TUESDAY (NO SCHOOL MONDAY).

Good Morning Greenmont, Today is the final day for our coin wars. Which grade level will reign supreme as we have one final push to raise money for a new sound system in our gym? Our student council appreciates all of your support as we try to improve our school.

Dear Greenmont, The Student Council COIN WAR is still going strong and we are kicking it up to notches unknown! Starting tomorrow, students may bring in checks (made out to Greenmont PTA) that will go towards their grade level totals. Checks won’t be for sabotage purposes. Again, the new sound system is going to cost several thousand dollars so we need every last cent! Todays totals are as follows: $64.86 2nd grade $66.82 5th grade $66.92 3rd grade $69.31 1st grade $70.42 prek/Kg $127. 87 4th grade

Dear Grizzlies! As Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, this is a reminder that candy is not permitted to be given to students in their Valentine’s. Since our school struggled recently to keep those students with food allergies safe, the decision had to be made to not have parties or food on Valentine’s Day. How tomorrow goes will determine the future of Valentine’s activities moving forward. The absolute last thing our school community needs is to put someone’s life at risk by sending in items that have been requested not to be sent in. I truly appreciate your understanding and willingness to keep all of our students safe.

Grizzly Nation! This is the Greatest Super Bowl advertisement of all time! This week our Student Council has its penny wars competition pitting one grade against the others until only one grade level is left standing supreme! Change and coins of all kinds are used to add to your grade level’s total while bills are used to sabotage other grade levels! All proceeds are being used to replace the sound system in our gym so that our student performances will be more enjoyable for our students and families. Thank you for your awesome support! Enjoy the game!

This afternoon we will have a reward activity for the second nine weeks. Students will have a chance to choose a few different things which may include technology, games or physical activity.
