Wood County Prevention Coalition · Promoting Positive Youth Development! - Bowling Bash to Strike Out Drugs - This event is directed towards our youth and student aged populations. Prizes awarded to the top elementary, middle, and high school bowlers. Free bowling, pizza, drinks, and T-shirts. 4 to 6 bowlers per Lane. Limited two adults per Lane. The event will be held on November 15 from 1 PM to 3 PM. Registration opens at 12:30 PM. The event will be held at Pike Street Lanes at 2605 Pike Street in Parkersburg.

Hamilton Middle School will be administering the GameChanger Prevention Survey with our students on 10/17/25. The survey asks about school climate, stress, and behaviors related to substance use. The results will help schools and the GameChanger team improve programs that support student health and well-being. The survey takes about 10-12 minutes for students to complete. All responses are anonymous. If you do not want your child to participate, please contact the school or return the slip that will be mailed to your home by 10/16/25. So far this school year we have sent out a blue and yellow half-slip with a QR code and link on it. This link takes you directly to the Hamilton Parent Compact. We ask that if you have not already done so, please review this compact with your child, and fill out the form. This is required through our new Title I funding.
