IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, to conduct candidate interviews and appoint an interim board member to a vacant seat. The board has consulted with the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wood County Clerk’s Office and has been advised, due to election cycle deadlines, a selection must be made by February 12, 2024.
The online application period for those interested in applying for the interim position will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 12. The board meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. to announce the candidates and interviews will begin at 6:00 p.m. An appointment announcement will follow the completion of the interviews on February 12.
Those submitting an application by Sunday, February 11, will be informed of their interview time before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12. Applicants submitting applications on Monday, February 12, will be contacted as applications are received throughout the day to have interviews arranged for that evening.
Wood County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Attention boys and girls basketball! Tomorrow, both teams will have a parent meeting at 6:00pm. The girls and their families will meet in the cafeteria and the boys and their families will meet in the gym. Good Morning, This is Mr. Echard principal of Van Devender Middle School with a quick announcement. Coplin Health Systems will be providing free sports physicals to all Vandy students interested in basketball, wrestling or track. The physicals will be offered on Thursday October 26 from 4:30pm-6:30pm during our parent/teacher conferences. We must have a physical on file for any student wanting to try out for these sports.
