Our side door closes at 8 a.m. All students who arrive after 8 a.m. must be brought to the main doors and signed in. Thank you for helping us get the day started right here at Emerson!

For the safety of all students, once a child is released by their teacher he/she needs to remain with the pickup person at all times. Younger siblings also should remain with an adult and families should move away from the school building to allow for proper space for our teachers to dismiss. Please refrain from climbing on the handrails and fence and allow adequate space around the steps and vehicles. Please park and come to the dismissal area as we can not release students to walk through the parking lot unattended. We are also asking to keep pets away from dismissal. Thank you for helping to keep dismissal and all of our students safe.

Our elementary open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. and our middle, high, WCTC and Caperton will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Students' first day back to school will be Wednesday, August 21st. This message is for incoming Emerson kindergarten parents. Emerson Elementary offers a staggered start for our kindergarten students so make the transition into school a little smoother. Students with the last names beginning with A-K will attend school on Wednesday, August 21. Students with the last name beginning with L-Z will have their first day on Thursday, August 22. Students can be dropped off 7:30-8:00 am and pick up is at 2:30 for non-bus riders. We can't wait to see you!
Great news families- Wood County Schools provides students with all necessary school supplies. Feel free to send your child with a backpack and water bottle.
In celebration of Independence Day, all Wood County Schools' offices will be closed. Offices will reopen on Friday, July 5th.
