Now, our SOAR Students of the Week will receive a token to pick out their very own book as part of their reward—how awesome is that?!

Franklin Falcons, this Friday is a BIG DAY--It's National Scribble Day!!
We'll be celebrating Scribble Spot in fun ways throughout the entire day, AND students can come to school dressed as Scribble Spot!
The excitement doesn't stop there!
The class with the best attendance for the week will earn the chance to "scribble" Ms. Sloan with silly string!
Millie and Ainsley will get to pie Ms. Carpenter as their reward for completing Finn's Mission for the Kids Heart Challenge!
We will also finally recognize our high selllers and winners from the chocolate fundraiser, who will have the opportunity to pie or silly string Mr. McIntyre!

Wow!!! We are so close to reaching the final book fair goal! Check out how we did so far! Way to go everyone! Tomorrow is the final day for students to shop in the morning. At noon, the fair will be closed to prepare unsold merchandise to be shipped back. Parents, you rock!

Kids Heart Challenge donations are due tomorrow! It's not too late to make one more push for donations tonight and ask donors if their companies match donations. We’re having a blast getting healthier and helping kids with special hearts!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be tomorrow (3/17) through Friday (3/20) of this week! Students can purchase books with cash or money that has been loaded onto their e-Wallet.

Due to snowy and icy conditions impacting a significant portion of the southern part of Wood County, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. While some areas of the county may not be experiencing the same conditions, roadways in other areas remain hazardous. Because our buses and families travel across many different communities and road conditions, this decision was made to prioritize the safety of all students and staff throughout the entire county. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure everyone can travel safely.
Due to various road conditions throughout the county, Wood County Schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Important Update Regarding the End of the School Year: We are pleased to share that the West Virginia Department of Education has granted Wood County Schools a waiver for three instructional days. As a result of this approval, the last day of school for students will remain Tuesday, June 2, 2026 — no changes have been made to the previously published school calendar. No further action is needed on your part. Please make note of this date as you plan for summer childcare, activities, and travel.
