It’s no joke… we FINALLY got to use our book vending machine yesterday! 📚🎉

Now, our SOAR Students of the Week will receive a token to pick out their very own book as part of their reward—how awesome is that?!

We made sure to celebrate all of our SOAR students from earlier this year by letting them grab their books too. So many smiles, so much excitement, and a whole lot of reading ahead! 💙📖

💙 Franklin Falcons Wear Blue – April 2 💙

Join us on Thursday, April 2, as Franklin Elementary comes together to support Autism Awareness & Acceptance Day by wearing BLUE!

This is a special opportunity for our staff and students to show love, understanding, and support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Why it matters:
✨ Autism affects 1 in 36 children, meaning many of our students, friends, and families are directly impacted.
✨ Students with autism bring unique strengths—creativity, attention to detail, honesty, and different ways of thinking that enrich our school community.
✨ Awareness leads to acceptance, and acceptance creates a school where every child feels valued, included, and supported.
✨ Small acts of kindness and understanding can make a BIG difference in a child’s confidence and success.

Let’s show our Franklin pride by wearing blue and continuing to build a school where everyone belongs. 💙

Franklin Falcons, this Friday is a BIG DAY--It's National Scribble Day!!
We'll be celebrating Scribble Spot in fun ways throughout the entire day, AND students can come to school dressed as Scribble Spot!

The excitement doesn't stop there!
The class with the best attendance for the week will earn the chance to "scribble" Ms. Sloan with silly string!
Millie and Ainsley will get to pie Ms. Carpenter as their reward for completing Finn's Mission for the Kids Heart Challenge!
We will also finally recognize our high selllers and winners from the chocolate fundraiser, who will have the opportunity to pie or silly string Mr. McIntyre!
It's going to be a fun-filled day you won't want to miss!

Due to snowy and icy conditions impacting a significant portion of the southern part of Wood County, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. While some areas of the county may not be experiencing the same conditions, roadways in other areas remain hazardous. Because our buses and families travel across many different communities and road conditions, this decision was made to prioritize the safety of all students and staff throughout the entire county. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure everyone can travel safely.
