Students have received an email in their Wood County Schools student email account containing a personalized link to access their GSA score reports. Parents and guardians are encouraged to work with their child to retrieve the email and review the results together.
The score report provides detailed information about your child's performance and can help identify academic strengths as well as areas for continued growth.
If your child cannot locate the email or is experiencing difficulty accessing their score report, please contact your child's school for assistance.
We encourage all families to review these results and discuss them with their child as part of supporting continued academic success.
We want to make you aware that Wood County Schools has been notified of a planned power outage that will affect Parkersburg South High School, Wood County Technical Center, and Franklin Elementary Center. Unfortunately, this outage was communicated to us with very little advance notice.
The power is expected to go off within the next 30 minutes and may remain out until approximately 1:30 PM. Please be assured that our staff are prepared to continue the school day with minimal disruption. Lunch will be served as scheduled, and instruction will continue as our teachers adapt their lessons accordingly.
The safety and well-being of our students remains our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation. We will provide an update once power has been restored.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 19, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Come out, enjoy some delicious frozen yogurt, and support our school all at once!
Bring your family, friends, and your appetite — every scoop helps our Falcons soar higher! 🦅💙
See you there for a tasty treat and good vibes! 🍨✨

Please make sure your child wears old clothes or brings a change of clothes, as the dye may stain and we will not be able to provide extra clothing for everyone.
We’re looking forward to a colorful and fun-filled day for our students!

Thank you so much for your continued support and commitment to students’ creative development this year! We’ve loved teaching your students and are excited to wrap up the year with one more awesome lesson.
As summer approaches, we’re once again offering families the opportunity to purchase an ArtCart Sketch Box, filled with creative learning activities and supplies to keep kids making art all summer long.
School pick-up orders must be submitted by the end of this week. Orders placed after this week will be shipped directly to homes.
Last year, over 500 students participated, and we can’t wait for another summer of art-making success!
Good luck with testing this week, and thank you again. We look forward to seeing you all next yea

Volunteers are needed this Friday for our K-5 Tie Dye Day! Contact the school or stop by the office to sign-up.

We’ve attached staff “favorites” lists to help families who would like to show appreciation in a personal way and let our teachers and staff know how much they mean. A kind note, a small gesture, or a heartfelt thank you can go a long way! (If the link doesn't work, please let us know and we will try again.)
At Franklin, we believe together we SOAR! 🦅💙💛 Help us make this a fun and uplifting week for the incredible staff who support our students every day.
