Due to snowy and icy conditions impacting a significant portion of the southern part of Wood County, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. While some areas of the county may not be experiencing the same conditions, roadways in other areas remain hazardous. Because our buses and families travel across many different communities and road conditions, this decision was made to prioritize the safety of all students and staff throughout the entire county. We appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure everyone can travel safely.

No further action is needed on your part. Please make note of this date as you plan for summer childcare, activities, and travel. Hello Franklin Falcon families! We’ve set a goal to create a community of lifesavers by getting everyone to complete Finn’s Mission and learn Hands-Only CPR. When given immediately, Hands-Only CPR can double (or even triple) a person’s chance of surviving cardiac arrest. If you haven’t done it yet, complete Finn’s Mission today to learn this lifesaving skill and earn special thank-you gifts. Any student who completes Finn's Mission will have their name put into a drawing to pie Ms. Carpenter in the face.
