🚫🐾 JEFFERSON FAMILIES — TOYS BELONG AT HOME! 🐾🚫
We need your help keeping Jefferson focused on learning, not toys and distractions!
Students should NOT bring personal toys or recreational items to school, including:
🧸 Stuffed animals, plushies & Squishmallows
🚫 Squishies, sensory dumplings & fidget toys
🏀 Balls & personal playground equipment
🃏 Pokémon cards, trading cards & collectibles
🎲 Dolls, action figures, toy cars, miniature toys, games, slime, and other novelty items
If it's a toy, collectible, or something to play with, LEAVE IT AT HOME!
Jefferson provides everything students need for learning, classroom activities, and recess. We do not have Show and Tell, and there is no need to bring personal toys or playground equipment.
A note about fidgets: Fidgets are permitted when specifically required by a student's IEP. These items will be provided by the school, with instruction on their appropriate use as a learning support—not a toy.
These personal items create unnecessary distractions, disagreements, trading issues, and lost-item concerns that take valuable time away from instruction.
📢 Please understand: School staff will NOT spend instructional time searching for lost, misplaced, traded, or missing toys and personal recreational items. We cannot be responsible for keeping track of items that should not have been brought to school in the first place.
Parents and guardians, please check backpacks before your child leaves home!
We have plenty of supplies, activities, and recess equipment. What we need from students is their attention, participation, and readiness to learn.
❤️🖤 Thank you for helping us keep Jefferson a place for learning!
