There will be an informational meeting on April 13th at 5:00PM at Van Devender Middle School. This meeting will have counselors from PHS presenting information on 9th Grade course selection. We strongly encourage any parent who can be present, to come. The students will get this information in their WV Studies class on Monday April 12th so they do not have to come to this meeting, but you can bring them if you want to.

Track season begins tomorrow April 5th. You will need a WVSSAC sports physical (Available online and in our office). All you need to do is show up after school on April 5th in our gym. Students must be academically eligible to participate. Please contact Vandy with academic eligibility questions.

Basketball Ticket/Attendance Reminder:
Each athlete will receive 3 tickets for parents, guardians, grandparents, or household members to attend sporting events. You must have a ticket to purchase an actual ticket at the game.
Adults: $5
Seniors/Students: $4

On March 17th we will be asking our students complete a family engagement survey. The results of the survey will help us to come up with strategies to create a supportive and safe environment where students can do well in school. Please contact Mr. Echard or Mrs. Bixman if you have questions about the survey. Copies of the survey are available upon request. The survey is completely confidential.
Information for tonight’s basketball games. Tickets will be sold for the 6th grade basketball game starting at 4:00pm. Once the game finishes, all 6th grade spectators will need to exit the gym completely prior to tickets being sold for the 7th/8th grade game. Our custodians will be wiping down the bleachers and cleaning the floor prior to 7th/8th grade spectators being seated. Spectators must have a ticket to present prior to being able to purchase a ticket at the door. Please contact the school with questions.
REMINDER: Students are not allowed to bring food items with them for breakfast in the morning. If a student brings food items then they will need to eat it before entering the building or throw it in the trash. Students are allowed to bring a cold lunch. The cold lunch is to stay in their locker until lunchtime. Students are not permitted anything other than water during the school day with the exception of lunch (Energy drinks and coffee drinks are NOT permitted during lunch). All food items and drinks at lunch must be finished during lunch. They cannot leave the lunchroom.

6th grade Vandy girls basketball practice has been changed to 5:30pm-7:30pm today (February 24, 2021). They will be practicing with the 7th/8th grade team. They will practice at 3:30pm tomorrow (February 25, 2021) as scheduled.
Vandy Picture forms will be sent out on Tuesday February 23rd. Picture Day will be on March 1st (Student, Sports and Extra Curricular). Picture make up day will be March 5th. Picture retake day will be April 15th.
Basketball tryouts will take place this afternoon February 19, 2021.. This is open to all students. Call the school with questions.
