Wood County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, due to the continuing effects of the winter storm. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to ensure our campuses are safe and ready for students to return. Thank you for your continued support.
Due to ongoing inclement weather, including icy backroads, untreated roadways, and extreme cold temperatures, Wood County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.
Due to inclement weather conditions, including snow and ice on roadways, particularly on less-traveled back roads, and ongoing safety concerns with parking lots, Wood County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26.
This decision was made with the safety of our students, families, and staff as our highest priority. Difficult travel conditions and icy surfaces create unsafe conditions for buses, drivers, and pedestrians, and we believe closure is the most responsible course of action.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage families to continue monitoring district communications for any additional updates.
