This is a new required class for this year, so it does not count as your regular math class. You will rotate classes each term for that period - math enrichment, health, or PE.

Just a reminder that 6th grade orientation is this evening from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. You can drop student off at 3:45 for the orientation. Parents can come in to the cafeteria at 5:30 to go over information with Mr. Ward and Mr. Menillo. Since we were not able to have any orientation last year, any parent is welcome to attend. Starting Monday, information will be getting posted to help inform everyone for the upcoming school year.

Schedules for grades 7-12 will be available on Thursday, Aug. 12 from 2:00 -3:00 PM, and Friday, Aug. 13 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the middle school gym lobby. 6th graders will get their schedules during orientation on Thursday. Anyone who misses these dates may pick up their schedules during the county wide open house on Tuesday, Aug. 17th from 4:45 - 6:45 PM.

Parents/Guardians of Students Entering 7th and 12th grades for this coming school year. All WV students entering 7th grade must have one dose of the Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis) and one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine. Students entering 12th grade must have one does of the Tdap and one dose (on or after the age of 16) of the Meningococcal vaccine. If the first dose of the Meningococcal vaccine was given before the 16th birthday, then two doses of the vaccine are required. Please provide a copy of their shot record to the School Nurse before August 19th to update the shot records to prevent exclusion from school! Thank you!

Parking passes will go on sale on Monday, August 09 in the main office. Monday will be for seniors only. Tuesday on any student eligible to drive may come. We have a few announcements to share along. - The Outback Steak Dinner has been moved to Aug. 10 at 5:30. - Meet the Teams will take place on Saturday Aug. 14 at noon, immediately after the football scrimmage. - 6th Grade Orientation is Aug. 12 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, if you are unable to attend you will be able to come to Open House on Tues. Exciting News: The Athletic Boosters will once again be hosting the Outback Dinner in the school cafeteria on August 03 beginning at 5:00 PM. Be sure to watch for athletes selling tickets, as well as having some available at the school. Tickets are only $15.00 for a great meal, so be sure to get your ticket!

Announcement from PHS regarding high school summer school: On behalf of the Administration at PHS, we would like to say thank you to all staff, students, and parents for being very versatile, and having perseverance these last 15 months. As we get ready for summer school, all summer school students have been accepted EXCEPT FOR Driver's Education. Those students accepted for Driver's Ed were called. If you did not receive a phone call for driver's education saying you were accepted, then the class is full. Summer school starts Monday, June 14th. All students need to report to the 2nd floor Auditorium at 8:AM for a small meeting. From the meeting, all teachers will take you to the class space you will be using. Summer school ends at 11:30. Breakfast and lunch will be available.
