Wood County Schools has announced that pre-kindergarten (pre-k) registration for the 2025-2026 school year will commence on February 3, 2025. Children must be four years old by June 30, 2025 (or qualify for special education IEP services). The district offers free pre-kindergarten classes to eligible children, providing early childhood education to prepare them for future academic success. The Community Care Club is partnering with Waverly Activity Center and collecting NEW hygiene items for Operation Christmas for MOV Kids. Operation Christmas for MOV Kids is a local charity that is providing Christmas gifts to local kids. We will be collecting items daily December 9th-13th. Please bring your new items to your science class where a member from the Community Care Club will pick up all collections.
Donations can also be dropped off to the school anytime during the week.

Parents: Due to construction at the school, do NOT use the back parking lot from now until 2:00 pm. Please pick up and drop off students at the main office in front of the school. Students returning from internships should park in the front of the school down near the library and enter through the main office.

This Friday at 7:00 pm at Frankfort High School, the Williamstown Yellowjackets will take on the Frankfort Falcons in the state semifinal game. The address is 393 Falcon Way, Ridgeley, WV 26753.
