Attention Kindergarten families: The Kindergarten / PreK Christmas Program will be held tomorrow, Dec. 19 at 1 PM in the JEC auditorium. Kindergarten will also hold a parent engagement activity directly afterwards.
PreK families: As a reminder, the PreK Family Engagement activity is scheduled for tomorrow, Dec. 19 at 9:30 AM. Also, PreK and Kindergarten will be putting on a short Christmas Program at 1 PM in the JEC Auditorium.

Wood County Schools has announced that pre-kindergarten (pre-k) registration for the 2025-2026 school year will commence on February 3, 2025. Children must be four years old by June 30, 2025 (or qualify for special education IEP services). The district offers free pre-kindergarten classes to eligible children, providing early childhood education to prepare them for future academic success. Grade 4 will visit Blennerhassett School on Tuesday, Dec. 17 for an American Pops Orchestra performance in the morning as part of Artsbridge. Students will return before lunch.

If you completed the survey for the 5 day meal boxes for your JEC child, they will be available next week (Dec. 16-19) for distribution. Your child's name will be checked off the list upon receipt, and a waiting list will be created to accommodate any extras. Any unclaimed food boxes will be be available Dec. 20.

Families! If you use ROOMS to send an update on a student's absence, please include the first and last name of the child followed by the reason for the absence. If you have Doctor's note, please attach as well. Absences should be reported within 3 days of the absence. Don't forget, Secret Santa Shop opens tomorrow. It will be open all week during school hours and they will offer evening hours on Thursday from 3-6pm.

Wood County Schools has the opportunity to provide a 5 day meal box to the students of Wood County that can be utilized during Christmas break. Meal boxes will be delivered to your schools the week of 12-9-24. Each shelf stable meal box has 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. This is through a grant program. No refrigeration will be needed. We have a limited number of boxes that are available we need counts from the community by FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6. See link below:

JEC PTA Santa Shoppe.... December 9-13th. They will be set up in the library as they have in previous years. Students can shop during their library time, but teachers can also send students with money to the shop anytime between 8-2:40. Friday hours are 8:00-11:30. December 12th from 3:15-6:00 families are invited to shop.
