Academy Days
The first LSIC meeting for PSHS will be held on September 11, 2025 at 4:15pm. We will meet in the main office conference room.

Heavy rain and flooding are affecting student transportation. Our team is working on rerouting where possible. Expect delays for bus riders in flood-prone areas. Safety is Wood County Schools' first priority.
Wood County Schools Special Education Office will be destroying special education records of all former special education students with a graduation date prior to and including 2019. Files prior to 2018 have already been shredded. Former students or legal guardians who would like to obtain the student file may contact Wood County Schools Special Education Office, 1210 13th Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101, at (304) 420-9655, no later than Monday, September 8, 2025.
SPOT Day is moved to Thursday due to weather. Practice will be Wednesday at 8:30am. Report to the ROAC and be in your seat by 8:30. We will hand out Caps and Gowns as well. This is Mandatory. If you still have your iPad, bring it and your charger in to avoid fees.

Good evening Patriots. We are planning to have the Prom Walk OUTSIDE as of now. It looks like we should be in the clear. Please understand this could change if it starts raining. We will do the best we can to get everyone through quickly outside. If you are coming to watch the Prom Walk, do not park in the inner horseshoe in order for more people to have room to see our fabulous students. If we must move the prom walk inside, we will Live Stream the walk on our school facebook page. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
HOW TO PURCHASE PROM TICKETS:
Tickets for all events are to be purchased at our online box office. The link for this site is:

Tickets may be purchased by a junior or senior class student of Parkersburg South only. The price per ticket will be $30 each plus fees. No cash payments will be accepted, only credit card payments by using our online box office.
Click on “Have a Passcode” and enter the code (This will be your student ID number).
Select the number of tickets (This will have a limit of 2 per purchase)
Enter requested information (an eligible, separate name needs to be entered for each ticket purchased)
Click “submit order”
Your tickets will be available for download as well as sent to your email. When you arrive at Parkersburg South, present your ticket (paper or digital) for scanning. Each ticket admits 1 person, so be sure your download shows each person in your party.
There will be no refunds for unused tickets.
Guests that are not Parkersburg South students must fill out a visitor form, prior to the event and obtain approval by Mrs. Francisco in order to attend the event (forms are available in the Main Office and need to be turned into the main office by Thursday May 1st, 3:30PM).

Tickets may be purchased up to the time of the event.

It's time to order a yearbook! They are $60. You can pick up an order form from Mr. McKown's room 1205, print one from Schoology, or go to the website to order at yearbookordercenter.com and use code 4681. There is a $10 discount until May 1 when ordering from the school.

Good evening Patriots! We will be giving the PSAT to 10th graders on Tuesday, April 8th and the SAT to 11th graders on Wednesday, April 9th. Please bring your iPads to school, fully charged , and be on time. All testing will take place on the top floor of the 1000 building. All sophomores and juniors are excused from their Tech, Capterton, and college classes on test day. If you are absent on your test day, you will complete the test on a make up day.
