Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday in regular session.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at the Wood County Board of Education at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.
The meeting will begin with numerous recognitions, including West Virginia Music Education Association Honor Choir, All State Choir and Solo and Ensemble Recital. The board also will recognize the American Choral Directors Association Junior Honor Choir, High School Honor Choir, and National Honor Choir.
The Parkersburg High School Chamber Choir under the direction of Joshua Dubbs will perform at Tuesday’s meeting.
The board will recognize recipients of the Donor’sChoose grant by Optimum, and recognize Optimum and CAS Cable as Wood County Schools Outstanding Supporters.
The board will receive an update from Wood County Schools Director of Technology Jonathan Farley, a report on Summer School 2023 by Federal Programs Director Tammy McKnight, and a schedule of FY2024 proposed levy rates and banking services by Finance Director Whitni Kines.
