Wood BOE accepting library board applications
PARKERSBURG - Applications are open for an appointment to the Parkersburg & Wood County Library Board by the Wood County Board of Education.
The school board is responsible for appointing two members to the library board. One position is currently open.
The online application will be open from July 12 – 26. The application can be accessed at https://www.woodcountyschoolswv.com/page/parkersburg-and-wood-county-library-board or by going to the woodcountyschoolswv.com main page and clicking the link.
An applicant must be a Wood County resident. Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter and resume to be considered for the position. The application does require a Google account and a link to sign up for a free account is included on the application page.
The Wood County Board of Education recently approved Policy 1500 which outlines the appointment process for outside boards. The policy can be found at the Wood County Schools homepage under Our District/Board of Education/Current Policy.
The Wood County Board of Education will review the applications and conduct interviews with select candidates. An appointment is expected to be announced in August.
