Wood BOE meets Tuesday in Williamstown

 

Williamstown - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Sept. 12, in regular session.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the new auditorium at Williamstown Middle High School. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.

The meeting will begin with a recognition of Wood County Schools 2023 retirees. Pickering Associates will be recognized as a Wood County Schools Outstanding Supporter, and Assistant Superintendent of Operations Kaleb Lawrence will speak about September 22 being recognized as West Virginia School Service Personnel Day.

The board will receive presentations on the state General Summative Assessment results, Gamechangers extra duty job descriptions, and special education staffing. 

The board also will review and approve the superintendent’s goals for the 2023-24 school year.
