Wood BOE meets Tuesday at Jefferson Elementary

 

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, in regular session at Jefferson Elementary Center.

 

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be streamed online. The meeting is open to the public. 

The meeting will begin with a recognition of students at Edison Middle School and Hamilton Middle School who completed i-Ready Math and/or Reading Lessons.

The board will receive a presentation on the National Board Certified Teacher process as well as recognizing new and renewing National Board Certified Teachers.

Cathy Grewe, Coordinator of Assessment and Student Services, will present a proclamation for school counselors, and Melanie Cutright, Early Learning Coordinator, will give an update on pre-kindergarten programs and registration.

The board also will receive a presentation on the first phase of bond projects from Ryan Taylor, President & CEO Pickering Associates, and Tyler Eppley, Civil Engineer/Design Manager

In addition to financial and personnel matters, the board will consider possible action regarding purchasing real estate for the new Lubeck Elementary School and approval of first phase bond projects.
