UPDATED: The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, to conduct candidate interviews and appoint an interim board member to a vacant seat. The board has consulted with the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wood County Clerk’s Office and has been advised, due to election cycle deadlines, a selection must be made by February 12, 2024.
The online application period for those interested in applying for the interim position will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 12. The board meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. to announce the candidates and interviews will begin at 6:00 p.m. An appointment announcement will follow the completion of the interviews on February 12.
Those submitting an application by Sunday, February 11, will be informed of their interview time before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12. Applicants submitting applications on Monday, February 12, will be contacted as applications are received throughout the day to have interviews arranged for that evening.
