members of a student carpentry class stand and are recognized by the wood county board of education at the Bailey Board Room - students are holding certificates

Students in Mr. Kimble’s carpentry class at the Wood County Technical Center were recently recognized by the Wood County Board of Education for their work constructing a new ticket booth for the baseball and softball fields at the Erickson All-Sports Facility.

The project was completed by students as part of their hands-on learning in the carpentry program, providing them with practical construction experience while contributing a lasting improvement to a community athletic venue. The newly built ticket booth will support events and activities held at the facility’s new baseball and softball fields.

Members of the Board of Education commended the students for their craftsmanship, dedication, and commitment to service.

District leaders expressed appreciation to the students and Mr. Kimble for their hard work and for using their skills to create something that will serve Wood County residents and student-athletes for years to come.
