Due to ongoing impacts related to the Peoples Cartage Warehouse fire in Parkersburg, Wood County Schools is providing the following update for families of students enrolled in summer school programs:
Summer School Instruction
There will be no summer school classes tomorrow. At this time, our goal is to have students return to in-person instruction on Wednesday, pending continued monitoring of conditions and safety considerations.
Summer Feeding Program
Summer feeding services will resume tomorrow. Meals may be picked up at the following locations:
Parkersburg High School
Parkersburg South High School
Jefferson Elementary Center
Martin Elementary
Meal deliveries to other designated sites, including partner locations such as the YMCA, will resume if those sites are open and able to safely receive deliveries.
Transportation
Tomorrow will be used to wash and clean buses that have been staged at Edgelawn during the response period, ensuring they are safe and ready for service when students return.
