Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (Nov. 9, 2021) in regular session.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Emerson Elementary School at 1605 36th St. in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast online via Zoom.
Tuesday’s meeting marks the first of two public hearings on the proposed 2022-23 school year calendar. Three draft calendars have been posted online at www.woodcountyschoolswv.com and a survey opened for community members to give feedback on the calendars.
The board will recognize the Williamstown High School Boys Cross Country team as State Champions.
The board will receive a presentation on using data to drive decisions in education from Emerson Elementary administrators and staff.
The board also will consider and vote on one student expulsion.
