CDC revises Covid guidelines

The National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revised its Covid-19 guidelines.

Wood County Schools continues to require masks for all staff, students and visitors during school hours except during lunch or some outside extracurricular activities.

The isolation period due to a positive Covid-19 test and quarantine period due to exposure to a positive individual have been reduced to 5 days, with the student or staff member returning to school and wearing a mask from day 6 to day 10.

Those in quarantine are recommended to test for Covid-19 on Day 5 before returning to school.

Families are asked to consult with their school nurse when determining isolation and quarantine periods, return to school protocols and to be certain that school days are properly excused.

Wood County Schools will continue to consult with local and state officials for additional guidance.
