Wood BOE to meet Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2022) in regular session.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Bailey Board Room at Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast online via Zoom.
The meeting will begin with recognition of the district's new and renewed National Board Certified Teachers, as well as students who have successfully completed their iReady programs.
The school board will receive a presentation on ESSER and ARP federal pandemic relief funding and how those funds have been spent to improve learning for Wood County Schools students.
In addition to personnel and financial matters, the board will consider the unpaid suspension of an employee, professional substitute pay and creation of a special board meeting for Feb. 1.
