Letter from Christie Willis, incoming superintendent

From Christie Willis, incoming Superintendent of Wood County Schools

To our Communitv.

The focus of my career has always been to serve students
and families, whether as a teacher or as an administrator. As
this new chapter unfolds, I am honored and humbled by the
faith and trust placed in me by the Wood County Board of
Education, and by our community, to have the opportunity
to serve as superintendent for the community and for the
school system that I love.

Thank you to everyone who has graciously offered words of
support; your kindness is truly appreciated! While fulfilling
obligations in my current role, I will continue collaborating
with Superintendent Hosaflook to ensure a smooth
transition into the new position.

Our priority has been, and will remain, to educate students
Our students deserve a school system that will provide the
foundation for their future achievements and goals.
Through the dedication of our teachers, administrators, and
service personnel; the involvement of parents and families;
and the support of our communities, we can ensure Wood
County Schools will continue to develop into the educational
system of which we all can be proud.

As we are preparing for a strong finish to the 2021-2022
school year, there are many events on the horizon.
Registration is currently open for our summer learning
programs that provide opportunities for hundreds of
students from PreKindergarten through high school.

Working together, our school system will continue to
positively impact our students today, and those yet to come.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the
superintendent of Wood County Schools and to lead us into
the future.

With gratitude,
Christie M. Willis
