Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting next week at Williamstown Elementary School.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, at WES at 430 Caroline Ave. in Williamstown. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.
Tuesday’s agenda includes an announcement of the 2023 Wood County Schools Teacher of the Year, a presentation on the fiscal year 2021 audit, and approval of a new superintendent’s contract.
The board also will vote on on a memorandum of understanding with West Virginia University at Parkersburg for a new cosmetology program, the creation of two cosmetology teaching positions and approval of a new director for the Wood County Technical Center.
