WCS to hold bond forums in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG - Wood County Schools will hold two public information meetings next week concerning the 2022 facilities bond call.

Sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, at Parkersburg South High School and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Parkersburg High School.

The information sessions are to provide details on the scope of the bond call and proposed facility projects, which include construction of three new schools and renovations at multiple facilities. The bond call will be on the May 10 primary ballot.

Three sessions have been scheduled, one at each of the county high schools, in order to provide multiple opportunities for members of the public to come and receive information and ask questions. All three sessions will present the same information, but officials hope the different dates and locations will allow more people to participate.

The first session was held April 5 at Williamstown High School.

All meetings are open to the public and streamed online.
