Wood BOE meets Tuesday

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in regular session Tuesday to recognize student achievements and to receive an update on facility projects.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.

The board will recognize students for completing I-Ready programs, the winners of the West Virginia Young Writers Contest, and winners of the Skills USA competition. 

The board will receive presentations on science book adoptions and a facilities update. In addition to personnel and financial items, the board will vote on several administrative contracts and the paid suspension of an employee.
