Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in statutory session Tuesday to elect officers and make committee appointments.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public.
The statutory session is required every two years. The school board will elect a president and vice president as well as assign members to various committees. The appointments are for a 2-year period.
The board also will receive information on a legislative change that provides the opportunity for free tuition to students enrolled in the Wood County Technical Center adult practical nursing program.
