Wood BOE meets Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Tuesday to receive an update on area libraries and the upcoming middle school STEAM Academy.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.
The board will receive an update on the Parkersburg and Wood County Library system, an overview of a West Virginia Department of Education financial analysis of Wood County Schools, and information on the 2022-23 middle school STEAM Academy program at the Caperton Center.
In addition to financial and personnel changes, the board is expected to approve appointment of a new principal for Blennerhassett Elementary School.
