Wood BOE meets Tuesday

 

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday in regular session. 

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Wood County Board of Education at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online. 

The meeting will begin with numerous recognitions, including Andrew and Amy Vaughan Student Symphonic Fellowship Winner Audrey Sundstrom, student council recognitions, and three employees as Wood County Schools Heroes, 

The board also will receive a partnership update and proposal to expand a renewable energy project to Williamstown Elementary School, an update on the property evaluation process for the new Lubeck Elementary School, and an iReady Winter Benchmark presentation.

The board also will be asked to approve the start of negotiations to purchase property for a new Lubeck-area school,
