Interstate Studios had some issues this past Friday and were unable to do picture re-takes. They now will be coming this Wednesday, Nov. 10 between 9:00 -12:30 PM to complete the pictures.

Here are a few reminders as we get towards the end of the first nine weeks: - 1. Grades close this Friday, Oct. 22, Report Cards will be issued on Nov. 1 - 2. 0 period is available daily from 7:45 - 8:15am. If a student has a D/F, or missing tests or multiple assignments, a teacher can require them to come in, and it does become disciplinary issue if they do not attend. - Oct. 26 is make-up picture day - Nov. 1 there will be a career fair at the school for seniors.

WMHS: The PSAT testing for 8th and 9th grade students scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed until next week. There has been some technology issues with the testing vendor that is being worked on currently. Students will now report and follow their normal school day schedule.

At Thursday night's middle school football game, the Yellowjackets will face the Marietta Tigers under the lights at Don Drum Field. The game begins at 7 p.m. MHS does not take cash at the gate for tickets. Spectators can pay with credit/debit cards at the gate, or pre-pay at this link: https://www.mariettacityschools.k12.oh.us/page/athletics. The button for game tickets is the third event on the right. On a phone it is at the bottom, third event under the other athletics information. Tickets are $2 for students, and $5 for adults.

Please make sure students arrive by 7:45am on their test day, bring their fully charged IPADS, and pencils. Students will take the test in their first period classroom (If they do not have math, English, history, or science during first period they will be directed to a core subject teacher's classroom.)

TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 13, 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT-NMSQT test. Arrive to school by 7:45am on Wednesday and go to the middle school gym. Make sure to eat a nutritious breakfast beforehand. Bring #2 pencils (not mechanical), wear your mask, and come ready to do your best! Leave behind any phones, watches, or tablets - devices are not allowed in the testing room. A drink and snack are allowed during breaks. Thank you!

The Counseling Department is hosting a FAFSA workshop on October 26th with drop-in hours from 5:00-8:00 PM. Representatives from the WV Higher Education Policy Commission will be here to provide assistance in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is required for federal and state aid, as well as some local scholarships. It is also required for application to WV Invests, which provides two years FREE tuition at WV Community and Technical colleges, regardless of income, to those who meet other eligibility requirements- one being a 2.0 G.P.A. Please RSVP before Oct. 21 to Ms. Justice at gjustice@k12.wv.us to secure a spot at the workshop. If we don't have enough interest, the workshop will be cancelled, so please RSVP soon.
