PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Monday to receive showcase presentations from Local School Improvement Councils.

Local School Improvement Councils, or LSICs, are required by state law and are comprised of representatives of the school community, including personnel, parents and community members. The LSICs work toward improvements to school buildings and communities.

Monday’s event will give all of the feeder schools for Parkersburg High the chance to show off what makes them unique, highlighting special programs and giving students a chance to talk about their schools.

LSIC Showcase meetings will also be held April 24 at Parkersburg South High School and April 27 at Williamstown High School.
