Wood County Schools Assessment Registration – Homeschool Students

Home-instructed students and families in grades 3–8 and 11 who wish to participate in state testing must review the information below and complete the corresponding registration survey prior to the deadline.

IMPORTANT

  • Once you have registered, it is the family’s responsibility to contact the school in your child’s home attendance area regarding testing details (for example: arrival time).

  • If changes are made to the testing window after registration, families will be notified.

Registration Deadline: March 1, 2026

Only registrations received by March 1, 2026 will be approved for participation during the administration of the Spring 2026 assessments.


General Summative Assessment (GSA)

Testing Window: April 21–May 22

  • Per state testing requirements, students must test in person at the school in their home attendance area.

  • Testing will take place on a computer over multiple days.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to contact the school in their child’s attendance area to confirm daily testing times.

  • To receive a score, students must complete the entire assessment.

Assessment Schedule:

  • ELA – 2 days (1 day Writing, 1 day Reading)

  • Math – 1 day

  • Science (Grades 5 & 8 only) – 1 day


SAT School Day – Grade 11 Students

Testing Date: Varies by school. Please contact the school in your attendance area for specific information.

  • If your student requires testing accommodations, requests must be submitted to College Board by the county office.

  • Please contact the high school in your attendance area as soon as possible to increase the likelihood of approval.

  • The assessment will take place at the student’s home high school and will last approximately 4 hours.

  • Participating students may have the opportunity to use their results for college entrance determination.

NOTE: There is no state assessment for students in Grades 9, 10, or 12.
