Wood BOE to meet Tuesday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2022) in its first regular session of the new year.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Lubeck Elementary School, 206 Lubeck Road, Parkersburg, W.Va. The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast online via Zoom.
The meeting will begin with a Lubeck Elementary School data presentation from Principal Amber Hardman. The presentation will review school test scores and steps taken to increase achievement.
In addition to personnel and financial matters, the board will consider and vote on accepting an auction bid for the former Waverly Elementary School building.
The board also will discuss building a covered and enclosed walkway between Parkersburg South High School and the Wood County Technical Center, as well as the recent continuation of accreditation for the Wood County Technical Center by the The Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
