Wood BOE meets Friday
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet in special session Friday to approve personnel changes.
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online.
Friday marks the last day professional transfers are allowed by state code, so the special meeting will allow the board to approve those changes prior to the start of the 2022-23 school year. Students return to classes Aug. 18.
The board also will be asked to approve memos of understanding with the Parkersburg Boys & Girls Club, collaborative contracts for pre-kindergarten programs at childcare facilities, and several construction change orders.
