BAM donates books to Wood Schools
PARKERSBURG - Wood County Schools has received a donation of books from a local business.
The donation was presented Tuesday evening on behalf of Books-A-Million in the Grand Central Mall in Vienna.
The annual donation drive has been organized for 8 years now by Rosie Scott, a manager at Books-A-Million in the Grand Central Mall. Over the years, Scott has helped donate thousands of dollars in books to Wood County classrooms.
Scott said this year’s donation alone totaled more than $2,400 in books.
“We really enjoy this,” Scott said. “Most of us who work at the store went to school here in Wood County. We enjoy helping out the (school) libraries.”
