BOE meeting moves to Tech Center
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will meet Tuesday in the new Common Area at the recently renovated Wood County Technical Center.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Wood County Technical Center at 1515 Blizzard Drive in south Parkersburg, W.Va. The meeting is open to the public, though seating is limited due to social distancing, and masks are required. The meeting also will be broadcast online through Zoom.
The technical center was part of a massive district-wide construction and renovation project funded in part by a $41 million facilities bond approved by voters in 2016.
The Tech Center’s Common Area, located at the front of the school facing Blizzard Drive, can be configured to allow those attending in person to do so comfortably while maintaining social distance.
