Jumpstart Reading Clinic

A FREE reading clinic for students completing kindergarten - grade 2. Students will receive small group reading instruction specially designed to boost their reading success! Jumpstart Reading Clinic sessions will be lead by a reading specialist. All instruction will be tailored to the specific needs of your student. Students will be placed in small groups of students with like reading skills.

June 17-July 19, 2024

Emerson Elementary School

Students will attend two, one-hour sessions per week with a reading specialist. Sessions will take place Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Friday. At the time of registration, parents/guardians may request Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Friday sessions. They may also indicate time preference (8:30-9:30am, 9:30-10:30am, or 10:30-11:30am). Every effort will be made to accommodate scheduling requests while also ensuring your student is assigned an instructional group that is appropriate for them.

Grow and Learn at Camp Growl!

Students will receive daily reading and math instruction at Camp Growl.

Who? Students currently in Grades K-5 attending any Wood County Schools elementary school

When? June 17-July 12, 2024; 8:00am-11:30am

Where? Jefferson Elementary Center, 1103 Plum Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101

Bus transportation available.

Free breakfast and lunch provided.

Registration opens April 22, 2024!

A FREE tutoring center for students completing grades 5-8. Students will receive small group reading and/or math instruction specially designed to boost their academic success!

Students will attend two, one-hour sessions per week. Sessions will take place Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Friday.

• Free breakfast and lunch available daily.
